Why Choose Logopak?
Here are 15 reasons to choose Logopak!
1. Logopak industrial, rugged print head assemblies.
We do not use flimsy, maintenance-prone desktop-based print engines. Logopak print head assemblies are designed as a complete subassembly inclusive of the print plate (head), platen roller, dispensing edge, pressure locking mechanism, electronics and quick plug disconnects. The platen roller is held in steel bearings. All this in a factory sealed, machined 10mm aluminum casing with all components pre-aligned and adjusted. The Logopak system design and unique dot shift feature allow longer print plate life, typical print plate / print assembly life is 12 - 24 months. Replacement heads are simply plugged in for immediate use with no adjustments or alignments required, taking less than 5 minutes. Print widths in 4.1", 6.3" and 8.3".
2. Industrial, purpose-built machine construction with proven 10+ year life!
Our differentiated rugged design has proven 10+ year life in high-duty cycle applications compared with desktop engine based systems that typically last only 2 - 4 years. Simply put, desktop engine-based units are built around a desktop printer which is not designed for rugged environments and 24/7 production use. Logopak will last twice as long and with half the maintenance. Machine frames are constructed in 10mm thick ground aluminum; all other parts from stainless steel with all drive parts ground and tempered. Using 10mm toothed drive belts and 5-phase stepper motors (while our competitors use 5mm belts and 2-phase ‘baby steppers') these are purpose-built industrial labelers specifically for case, tray and pallet labeling, not a general purpose case labeling system. Construction also includes industrial ball bearings and plug connections, Berger-Lahr stepper motors, Festo pneumatics, cabinet construction of welded steel, and no bushings or plastic are used!
3. Integrated system design based upon rear drive assembly.
Logopak's integrated design utilizes an industrial knurled steel, rear-drive assembly set in steel bearings and 10mm aluminum casing. Logopak pulls the label backing paper through at consistent speeds and tensions after the label has been printed and applied ensuring no slipping, jams or miss-feeds that are caused by differing label thickness or adhesives getting on the drive rollers. Compared to the front ‘push drive' with plastic bushings and sheet metal desktop engines the Logopak integrated design really is better. By not back-feeding the labels and preventing label jamming, roller wrapping or dropped labels, Logopak's integrated design means no downtime and lost production to you!
4. Three year "Bumper-to-Bumper" Factory Warranty.
The best in the industry! Rugged and reliable construction allows for all non-wear parts covered for 36 months from installation, including toothed belts.
5. 31-Year History of proven reliability and market leadership.
Founded in 1978, Logopak invented print and apply labeling and has grown to become the trusted market leader in Europe with over 16,000 installed machines labeling case, cartons, tray packs, books, pallets - you name it! Logopak Corporation is now offering the same high quality proven design to the North American market.
6. Longer run time between ribbon changes.
Logopak uses 600 meter and 1200 meter rolls of thermal transfer ribbon - when coupled with rolls of labels the same length means more run time between changes! Our competitors' machines typically use 450 meter rolls.
7. Faster speeds and more application reach!
- Tray pack 4" x 2" batch labeling at 120 ppm!
- Dual 64-bit RISC processors mean you can print real time shipping labels (4" x 6") at speeds up to 40 ppm.
- High speed, flexible design allows print and apply 8" x 4" batch labels at 60 ppm!
8.Off-line, single interface color touch screen.
Logopak uses a single off-line color touch screen user interface to control the entire system. With print preview and password protection you can create and edit labels with no PC required. Off-line location provides for easier maintenance and operator access.
9. Easy access for service and preventative maintenance.
Open design of printer and controller mean easy access.
10. Logopak integrated machine intelligence.
Dual 64-bit RISC processors for high computing power, graphical configuration and data communication via RS232 or network integrated Ethernet connection. 4-MB data memory expandable for article files, layouts and logos. Industrial CAM bus for I/O control, flexible programming with SPC high level language. Up to 200 digital I/O's for process control. 15" VGA touch screen for data input, status messages and fault messages. Four industrial V24 interfaces; IP54 enclosure.
11. Logopak data handling.
25 years of in-house software development is concentrated in LogoToolsTM, our suite of standardized PC applications available for label design, data backup, traceability, data administration, synchronization of data records, ZEBRA and SATO emulations. Interfacing with SAP and WMS is simple and easy.
12. Logopak local support and service.
A North American network of exclusive and experienced distributors, augmented by Logopak factory technicians, provides local sales, service and support. Networked Logopak labelers with Control Center installed can be monitored internally and fault messages sent to Logopak technicians and engineers via e-mail or texting. Control Center allows a centralized backup and the simultaneous import of updates to all connected labelers. The remote service module (RSM) allows fast access to the labeler's system data via a telephone connection.

13. Purpose-built pallet labelers - rugged and reliable!
Logopak pallet labelers are German engineered and built to withstand the heavy duty cycles and environmental extremes of the shipping dock area. Environmental closures are standard. Heavy-duty application arms can apply labels to up to three sides of a pallet up to 120 pph. Add RFID tag on demand and you have the most rugged and flexible pallet labelers on the market!
14. Flexibility.
Configuration meeting your specific needs for all machines are met utilizing Logopak's own manufacturing facilities, along with software and data-based communications which are developed and owned by Logopak. Logopak has developed four basic software modules that can be combined with numerous applications customized to your specific needs. Have a special application? Logopak has more than 25 years of experience in the design and construction of custom-built machines and systems.
15. Logopak project management.
A highly trained, and extensively experienced, team of project engineers reviews each application and works closely with our manufacturing team to produce solutions. Every step is coordinated and controlled by the engineer responsible for the project, from the determination of the machine specification, to the documentation and application planning, through manufacturing to the installation.
